But See the Ugly Side of Gsm Mobile Phones
Only very few people often realize the bad side of GSM mobile phones which if taken for granted could cause life-time damage. Everyone likes talking which is the beauty of Mobile phones. Perhaps, these days no one likes moving here and there with difficult wires attached to a phone while talking.
Indeed there is nothing as sweet as talking to someone thousands of miles away, laughing, smiling, eating, rolling in bed, driving, walking etc, all of which characterize the beauty of the telecommunication industry. Little wonder telephone is listed amongst the seven wonders of the modern world.
Sweet as all these sound we easily forget that mobile phones can also be harmful. How so? Just how could this occur?
One day in a Hospital in one African country (name of country and Hospital withheld) a medical operation was going on in the theatre unit, and after the team of Medical Doctors have almost succeeded in carrying out the operation, in the middle of the operation, the medical equipment in use unexplainably went dead. The female patient under-going the operation had suddenly given up within some few seconds as a result of this.
Upon close investigation, it was discovered that a man was attempting to initiate a call and not knowing the death of a patient he had ignorantly caused as a result of this, he quickly left unnoticed. The interference of his Mobile phone on the medical equipment had caused the death of a patient. It was sad especially as the man was not caught.
In another country in Asia (name of country withheld) a man was driving, his phone rang and in a quick attempt to receive the call he reached for his phone in his pocket, but as he began to speak he became unmindful of a trailer trying to negotiate a bend ahead of him, within the shortest moment he had come face to face with this trailer thus causing his own death and those of his wife and two little children. A sad development which closed his immediate family.
A survey has shown that most mobile phone users are usually in a hurry to put their newly acquired phone to use not minding on whether the user manual especially as it concerns the safety usage should be read or not. Often times such people assume that they have acquired all the knowledge it takes to use the phone, which however turns out to be an ignorant assumption.
So the next time you purchase any kind of phone be sure you go through the instruction manual to help to protect your life. Though most of the accidents described here do not occur on daily basis but one day it might just involve you should you decide to throw away your manual without studying it.
